Company
History
V2i was founded in 2004, after a four-year development phase as a spin-off of the University of Liege (LTAS: Laboratory of Aeronautics and Space Techniques). Since its creation, V2i’s services and expertise have received a very positive reception/feedback from its partners, who are active in all fields of industry. Then, a few years later, the company left its academic facilities for larger offices and labs, allowing its team of experts to leverage V2i’s expertise at a higher industrial level. Since then, the V2i team has been growing continuously, participating in the most advanced industrial and R&D programmes in aeronautics, space, defence, mechanics and civil engineering.
V2i has added its support and expertise to numerous well-known industrial programs and works for the leaders and most-advanced partners in their sector of activity.
All these reference programmes, customers and renewed industrial partnerships are the result of V2i’s comprehensive skill-set and many years of high-level experience.
Expertise
Thanks to its historical and technical background, V2i’s fields of expertise are closely related to theoretical and experimental aspects of structural dynamics. It covers:
- numerical simulation of structures and fatigue studies, in order to predict their behaviour under environmental vibrations;
- testing of equipment in extreme environments and correlation of data with results from simulations;
- in-depth knowledge of fatigue phenomena, in order to predict lifetime;
- expertise in rotor dynamics and vibration of structures, in order to detect and diagnose faulty behaviours;
- on-site measurement/data collection regarding vibration and other physical quantities, high-sampling frequency signal analysis, advanced data processing in real time and database operation.
Objectives & Commitments
Since its creation, V2i has operated as a customer-oriented company, putting considerable effort into research and development to stay at the cutting-edge of world-class technology in its targeted fields of activity.
In its day-to-day work, this is expressed by a team of experts, composed of highly qualified doctors, engineers and technicians, working in close collaboration with our partners to find pragmatic and efficient solutions. Most of V2i’s partners need responsiveness and flexibility, with a high degree of availability. This is why V2i’s staff is able to approach a problem both from a theoretical and an experimental point of view: to ensure a two-pronged approach and the possibility of working on a wide range of industrial projects in a flexible way.
In order to support its partners with their most challenging development projects, V2i continuously invests in continuous advanced training and research and development. This means significant work with smart technology, mastering cutting-edge simulation and experimentation techniques and working with the best software and hardware suppliers. After a considerable number of successful collaborations, V2i is recognised as a reliable partner for developing new techniques in its fields of expertise.

R&D
A key competitive advantage of V2i lies in its capacity for testing and experimentation and its ability to explore emerging issues and innovative ideas from both a theoretical and experimental point of view. These skills are particularly valuable for validation and development, and when participating in cutting-edge projects with industrial partners that expect concrete results in the development of their next generation of products.
