Research & Development

A key competitive advantage of V2i lies in its capacity for testing and experimentation and its ability to explore emerging issues and innovative ideas from both a theoretical and experimental point of view. These skills are particularly valuable for validation and development, and when participating in cutting-edge projects with industrial partners that expect concrete results in the development of their next generation of products.

Our main research themes:

  • Model correlation & updating
  • Lifetime prediction
  • Vibration & shock testing
  • Experimental & Operational Modal Analysis
  • Signal processing

Main ongoing R&D projects

VIBE — (Vibration Identification of BoostErs) The goal of VIBE is to develop and manufacture a prototype of robotized test rig able to characterize automatically the dynamic behavior of cyclically repeated aero-engine components. The project is funded by FEDER (http://europe.wallonie.be) and by the Walloon Region.
